  Jasmie Fuentes    Blog #3 Lee Friedlander- From the Series ' America by Car'       Lee Freelander is an American photographer based in New York City. Freelander started his work off by shooting album covers and landscape pictures. He also proceeded to create books about styles of photography such as, shadows, portraits and land scape. After going through some of his work my favorite has to be the America By Car series. The way he drives around the country capturing different moments from a car it shows diversity in the things he was capturing as well. Some pictures are portraits some capture a reflection and some have mixtures of different elements. I really enjoy his work in black and white photography as its things that we see everyday and it shows the beauty in the small things which is something I look for when analyzing photographs. 

Jasmie Fuentes  01/21/2023 Blog 1  What Does Photography mean to me?       Growing up I always saw cameras as an extended eye that could hold on to what I was witnessing at the  moment. We live in a world where things are constantly changing from the weather to political conflicts. This makes it  very easy to lose focus of the things happening in the moment.  In the article, Photography changes everything Heiferman mentions "we don't only look at the images; we take them". In my opinion, the beauty of photography comes from the simple action of freezing a moment in time.       I've learned that photographs allow you to see the things around you that would have otherwise gone unnoticed. Growing up looking at pictures from my childhood I always loved looking at pictures and being able to go back and step into that moment for a second. If I can think of when I feel the most connected to a camera, I would have to say its when I'm traveling. My interest in photography
